A typical day with Dyer Island Cruises:
Dyer Island Cruises operates around the world famous Dyer Island where you might be fortunate enough to see the
Marine Big 5: Southern Right/Humpback/Bryde’s Whales, sharks around the renowned Shark Alley, Cape Fur Seals, the endangered African Penguin and various visiting dolphin species. The area is also home t o a variety of seabirds.
Our Southern Right Season is normally from June – December, but for the rest of the year we occasionally see Humpback and Bryde’s whales in our area. We have an on-board biologist and experienced crew who promise and educational, life-changing experience.
From January – May all morning trips include coffee/tea and muffins on arrival and a light lunch after the trip. Guests doing an afternoon trip can enjoy a light lunch on arrival followed by warm soup and bread after the trip.
During Southern Right season coffee/tea and muffins are served upon arrival followed by warm soup and bread afterwards. All trips include a dedicated safety and conservation briefing before departure and a debrief afterwards.
We provide safety jackets and wet weather gear.
After a short walk to the harbour we board custom designed vessel, Dream Catcher and the adventure will commence.
All operations run from The Great White House in Kleinbaai and includes a licenced restaurant and bar, curio shop and clean toilet facilities.
